Hi @Kal_Lam,

Unlike other users, I think it would be nice to offer the functionality of choosing a position on a map within KoboCollect on android devices, which would be valuable to get point locations from participants that are not at their current location when being surveyed!

(i.e. stores where they purchase certain items)

Have you tried using the placement-map option of geopoint questions? See Geopoint with user-selected location for details.

Thank you both @Kal_Lam and @Xiphware ! This works perfectly and fills that need for choosing location perfectly. May be more useful in situations where GPS locating is less accurate in rural areas with poor coverage, but will be able to test that theory soon.
