Auto display calculation value

Hi,

This is regarding the Auto display value of calculation.
Please find the below steps for further information:

Calculation is working fine as expected, but the issue is…,

Step 1: when we are selecting “Nuts” or “Pipe” and we have entered the Requirement of the “Pipe” or “Nuts” in the Requirement fields.

Step 2: when we are pressing enter key or when the click action is preforming on the screen then the “Final Result” is displaying.

But without entering or click action we are not able to display the “Final Result”
So, could you please advise on the same.

Would you mind trying the once() function with the Final Result (variable).

Thanks for the response,
We have tried using once() function but it is not displaying as we expected.

Requirement:
The calculation should display automatically even we are switching the requriment values of “Pipe” and “Nuts”.

Present Output:
When we are using once() function the result is displaying only once and the result value is not changing when we are switching the requriment values of “Pipe” and “Nuts”.

Hi @keerthi,

Please be informed that an expression also known as formula, in an online data collection platform (including KoBoToolbox) is evaluated dynamically as a form is filled out.

Here if you look at the image below, you have to choose a choice condition from item (marked as 1) then fill up the Requirement (marked as 2). The calculation (i.e. Final Result) is only performed once the system knows that the Item and Requirement are filled. Hence, unless and until the 2 are not filled the third is not calculated.
