We are currently collecting and aded the background audio recording. However, when the data is submitted, no audio is appearing and the media file is empty.
Collectors are working with New Tenco Sparck 30c: 256GB storage if that’s of any help. Any idea of what could be happening?
Welcome back to the community, @benoitjeanne! Could you kindly check out to see the total size of your background-audio that is still stuck in your Collect Android App which has not reached the server?
If background audio isn’t appearing in your data, verify that the recording or analysis tool is set to capture all audio channels, including ambient sounds. Check microphone settings, input sources, and permissions. Ensure noise suppression or filtering features aren’t removing it. Updating software or drivers and testing with alternative tools can help identify and resolve the issue.
Hello @benoitjeanne,
This issue may be due to missing microphone Bible Chat Ai permissions or a bug in the data collection app. Ensure the app has full audio recording access and test with a different device or OS version. Also check if the media file path is correctly referenced during submission.
@Kal_Lam@sameershah@thomas598batson Thank you all for your inputs. We did test the audio recording and it is working on our part (we are currently in Canada), so it wouldn’t be a coding error. However, the audio from the collectors on site (in Ethiopia) is not appearing in our data. We did check for microphone settings and everything is accessible on the team’s phones. I suppose it might have something to do with the trajectory of the audio files from the phone to the server. Connectivity has been an issue lately. Any idea of how I could retrieve the audios ?
