We noticed that some data was lost after we reached the survey submissions limit. We received several alerts before upgrading the account, and submissions continued to come in. As a result, the additional submissions did not reach the server.
We would like to understand how this situation is handled. Is it possible to recover these submissions, or are they permanently deleted?
Welcome to the community, @control_marchand! This should not be happening at the moment, as it has not been announced yet, but let me confirm this with our team.
Please note that once this is officially announced, you may not be able to make additional submissions to the server if you exceed the submission threshold.
By the way, could you please clarify whether you are referring to your account storage limit (1 GB per account) or the submission threshold (5,000 submissions per month)?
@control_marchand, could you also let us know the mode of data collection you used? I mean are you using the Collect Android App or Enketo for data collection?
@control_marchand, apologies for the delayed response. It appears that you or your team were using Enketo (the web form). In this case, please ensure that the browser is not closed immediately after submitting the data. You should wait until you receive a confirmation that the submission has been successfully sent to the server.
Additionally, when collecting data using the web form, you should avoid clearing the browser cache or data. Doing so will remove all locally stored submissions, which cannot be recovered.
