In the Data tab of the form, you can preview submitted forms using the eye icon. Any of the data fields in forms submitted prior to March 19th are blank, even though the data appears in the table view. I think this is a versioning issue.

It appears that there was a Kobo update to re-name any Groups with a blank in the name field with a random character ID. This in turn updated all my field names in the group to have a new version with a new column header.
In the screenshot of my xls form you can see that I had left the name field blank for the Group label “General Information”. Leaving a group name blank is a practice I have used commonly in the past.

In the data table, after the update (after March 19), the data columns are not longer aligned, so Kobo does not think they are the same. See the image below here the group is called “General Information” . Previously the data column is called “General Information/ owner” and now it is called “group_uc4ny11/ owner” and Previous column “General _Information/rep_name” is called “group_uc4ny11/rep_name”

Question: How can I fix this or update the form so that the versioning re-aligns or at least so the data is viewable in the preview form (so the first image has the data in it from old versions). I had thought Kobo was storing the versions so they could be called upon for these types of cases.
