Default and custom reports stop displaying Mission Date values

I want to use the “Mission Date” field in my KoboToolbox project reports to track the frequency of field missions over time. Each submitted form includes a mission date, and I need the report to display all dates recorded in the submissions, including the most recent ones.

Since September 21, 2026, the “Mission Date” report has stopped displaying dates after September 20, 2026, even though new forms continue to be submitted.

I have checked that:

  • All recent submissions are present in the Data Table.

  • The mission dates are correctly recorded in individual submissions.

  • An Excel export contains all the expected dates, including those after September 20.

  • Changing the chart type does not fix the issue.

  • The same problem occurs in both the default report and a newly created custom report.

The report therefore appears to be missing recent dates despite the underlying data being available.

Could anyone help identify the cause and suggest a solution?

Have you reviewed system generated submission fields, you may find useful to look for _submission_time

Hi, Thank you for your suggestion. I checked the submissions, and all recent forms are present in the Data Table. The Mission Date values are also correct, and the Excel export contains all the expected dates after September 20. However, the default reports still stop displaying dates after September 20.

Could this be a reporting issue rather than a problem with the submission data?

If the _submission_time metadata field has data, I think this must come from your mission date question. Is it required? can you check your form versions?

The “Mission Date” question is required, and the form has not been modified or redeployed since the issue started. All recent submissions are present in the Data Table, with the correct Mission Date values, but the reports still stop displaying dates after September 20.

Do you have any other suggestions on what could be causing this issue?

I think it’s a default behavior or the report. It has a limit on how many values it shows. I see the same thing, not all values are displayed in the online report, but the values are there in the data. I don’t use the built-in reports myself so this isn’t an issue for me.

Oh okay, Thank you for your help! I was using the built-in report to monitor the progress of form submissions over time, so it was useful to see the number of submissions for each Mission Date but I’d do it differently.
