Distorted Farm Boundary Polygons After Coordinate Collection via Kobo – Need Guidance

Hello Kobo Community,

I am currently working on a farm mapping project that involves using coordinate collection within a Kobo survey form. As part of a trial, we engaged some farmers to use the survey form to record the coordinates of their farm boundaries.

After retrieving the CSV file from the backend, I found the coordinate arrangement difficult to interpret, but I proceeded to export it into a GIS software for visualization. Unfortunately, I discovered that most of the farm polygons were highly distorted, indicating that the coordinates might not have been properly structured or captured in the correct order.

My team and I have been trying to troubleshoot the issue and have reached out via mail previously but haven’t received much feedback yet. We would really appreciate any guidance documentation, or best practices on how to properly set up coordinate collection in Kobo for accurate polygon mapping.
