When I retrieve questions from the library, edit the questions, and change the answer codes, I find that all the codes are identical to the one I changed in all the questions I retrieved from the library.
What is the solution? Will this affect the data collection process?
i dont get you well. But i would suggest you create a form using XLSX so as to stay aways from all sort of errors like that
Thanks for your response, I mean that I get some questions from the library of KOBO, when I try to re-code one question, all of them have the same code. If I change the code of one question, the same code will be repeated in all the questions I took from the library. Kindly see the attached pic.

Now i have understood your question. That means each question used the same choice list . thats why you see sour_milk_1001, sour_milk_1002, etc. codes are “choice names”
Now ; here is whats happening;
- When you retrieve questions from the library, Kobo copies the original question with the same internal choice names.
- If you edit the choice names in one question, Kobo updates all linked questions that use those same choices, because they are referencing the same choice list.
What you have to do: You have to give each question its CHOICE LIST
My Reccomendation: Do not use online form builder, just use XLSX form(just— export your form, edit in Excel, and re-import). - This is the best way.
Am open for more discussion
