About the App

Kobo Transfer lets you duplicate or clone a KoboToolbox project including its form, versions, submissions and media files. You can use it within the same account or between two accounts.

How to Use

  1. Enter your KoboToolbox API token and the Asset UID of the project you want to duplicate.

  2. If you are copying within the same account, check “Same account” and press Start Transfer.

  3. The app will duplicate the project with a new asset ID. If the form is large, wait — the process may take time.

  4. After the transfer, you can rename the new project inside KoboToolbox to distinguish it from the original.

Notes

  • Do not close the window while the transfer is running.

  • Your API tokens are used only to communicate with KoboToolbox servers and are never shared elsewhere.

  • When you copy the EXE to another computer, wait until the icon appears before launching it.
