I am trying to set up a dynamic data attachment for the first time. I have managed to link the parent and child forms, but when I have re-uploaded the child form with the calculation in it, I get the following error:
I have tried to follow this syntax from your support page on this topic: instance(‘parent’)/root/ data[parent_index_group/parent_index_question= current()/../child_index_question]/parent_group/ parent_question but not sure if I need to replace the ‘/root/’ or the ‘current()/../’ ? See attached for the child form (I’ve just set it up as a test)

Never mind - I have fixed this particular problem, there were some spaces in my syntax!!
However, although Kobo has now accepted my form, the calculation still does not seem to be working - form is here: Enketo Express for KoboToolbox and the XLS is attached. When I enter a “Network name” which has appeared in the parent form, it does not pull the “Integer” number through from the parent form…

Problem solved. There seemed to be a glitch in the particular child form (which I just set up as a practice form, so didn’t actually need it to work) - I’ve sinced tried again in a different form and it is working.
