Dynamically set a Default Response

There is a way to dynamically set a Default Response from a previous answer -within the same survey-? For instance to specify ${distance_001} as the default response for the question distance_002

Thanks in advance,

Hi Enrique,

This is something that a number of people have asked about before, and best I can tell it is not possible.

The only potential workaround (if the default response is a select) is to do a cascading select that would present the “default” option as the only choice. It’s not ideal though.

Maybe this will be supported functionality in the future!

Hi, maybe I misunderstand the requirement, but I think in this case using a calculation column to put the value of the previous question into the text field would be sufficient. If the second question is of type text, that is.

I have created a simple XLS document to demonstrate what I mean, but maybe it’s not what you are looking for.
