Edit data submissions

Hi,

I have data that has been corrected on an Excel sheet and that I need to merge to an existing data submission file Kobo. How can I do that? (Do I have to do this offline on Excel? I know it’s also possible to do it on Kobo with the double-click but the edits are extensive and I also don’t know which data has been edited).

Thanks!

Hi Karin,

At the moment it’s only possible to edit data residing on KoBoToolbox in the interface itself - one record at a time. We are planning to expand this feature in the future to make it easier and faster to conduct data cleaning online. Many people are downloading their collected data to a tool like Excel and then conduct all the cleaning offline (or in a shared spreadsheet like on Google Docs). But there is no way to import a modified spreadsheet back into KoBo - yet.

Best,

Tino

Hi Tino,

Thans for your response! We will do the data cleaning manually for the meantime.

All the best
