Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble deploying a form that includes images. When I try to deploy it, I get the following error message:
“Media type: images not supported”
I’ve checked that all images are in supported formats (.jpg or .png), have simple file names (no spaces or special characters), and I uploaded them either via the form builder or alongside my XLSForm in the media section.
I’ve followed these instructions: Adding Various Types of Media (image, audio, video) to a Form — KoboToolbox documentation
Despite this, the error keeps appearing and I’m not able to deploy the form.
Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows how to solve it?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
Best,
Alessia
Welcome back to the community, @alessia_perta! Could you kindly share with us the file format that is not supported by the system? If possible feel free to share it so that we could also quickly check it out for you.
Hello @Kal_Lam , thank you so much for your quick reply!
The image I’m trying to use is in .png
format, but I also tried converting it to .jpg
just in case the format was the issue. Unfortunately, I still get the same error message:
“Media type: images not supported” when trying to deploy the form.
I double-checked the file name (no spaces/ special characters), and I uploaded the image through the form builder interface.
Any ideas on what else might be causing this?
Thanks again for your support!
Best,
Alessia
@alessia_perta, please be informed that file formats like png
and jpg
are very common. There should be no issues uploading them to the server (as project media files). But let me know if you still face issues uploading them. BTW, could you also let us know the server you are using?
