GPS location on Enketo: works in en form / does not work in ar form

iPhone:
In the English version of the data collection form the GPS location is filled in automatically.
In the Arabic version I would have to enter manually.
Cannot find the reason for this.

We’ll need a bit more detail to understand what’s happening.

If possible, please share your XLSForm or the link to the form so we can check how the GPS question is configured in both languages

Thanks for reporting this and for sharing the details.

We’ve been able to reproduce the problem on our side as well. The geopoint question is not capturing coordinates when the form is displayed in Arabic or other right‑to‑left language

This has now been raised with our team and is being investigated.

Temporary workaround: You can still capture the coordinates by switching the form to a left‑to‑right language (for example, English) and tapping the crosshair icon. Once the coordinates are recorded, you can switch back to your preferred language to continue filling out the rest of the survey. This should allow you to keep collecting location data while we work on a fix.

We’ll update the thread as soon as there’s progress.
