FYI,
I got this ‘NoneType’ error on a form, developed in xlsform and uploaded into kobotoolbox. Got this error message on redeploy:
The ODK online xlsform validator tool then showed the ‘NoneType’ error:
The cause of the error was an ‘empty’ group. There was no survey element in a ‘begin_group/end_group’ section.
@aaj, kindly please be informed that you have a group but have no questions inside a group. Kindly please add some questions and that would solve your issue.
Thanks @Kal_Lam. Yes, that was the cause of the error as I wrote in my note. Hope the reply I posted to the existing ‘nonetype error’ posting (as an ‘fyi’) helps others who may encounter this problem.
