Having the same issue here as well.
We have an online form accessible through this link: Enketo Express for KoboToolbox
The form is currently being disseminated using online-only (multiple submissions) option – respondents are filling it online individually on their own personal devices. During data collection, we keep getting feedback from respondents that they are encountering error “Failed to execute ‘transaction’ on ‘IDBDatabase’” when trying to submit their completed form.
What we did to debug the form:
- uploaded the form here ODK - XLSForm Online and fixed all mistakes and warnings
- asked respondents whether they filled all mandatory questions in the form – yes, they did
- communicated with respondents about their issues – they had an internet connection to both open the form and communicate with us
- added a short note asking respondents to open the form in a proper browser window, as opposed to an in-app browser window (for example Facebook or Instagram). However, issue persists even when people open the form through a QR code and using a proper browser window (Safari on iPhone).
