Indexes changed in the data extracted

Hello Guys i have a question,

i have noticed that our indexes changed from 1 being the oldest submission to being the latest submission is there a reason for that and how to switch them back ?

Maybe you could also use the _id to solve your immediate need.

Thank you for the explanation Kal.
From what i understood that i can reorder the id column in the downloaded dataset to get the original Index order i had before. ?

But the question is why does this happen?
