Introducing a Simple App to Convert Kobo Data to Geospatial Formats! 🌍

I’ve noticed that many Kobotoolbox users struggle with transforming collected data into usable geospatial formats, especially when trying to upload it to GIS tools or Google Earth Engine. To make this process easier, I’ve developed a Streamlit app that automatically detects geospatial data (points, lines, polygons) and converts it to formats like Shapefile, GeoPackage, KML, GeoJSON, or GeoParquet—all without needing any coding skills.

I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas for improvements! Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

That sounds like a game-changer for Kobotoolbox users! :globe_showing_europe_africa::fire: Simplifying geospatial data conversion is huge for accessibility. I’ll check it out—does it support bulk processing or live previewing of data before export? :rocket:

Hi @Scarlet ! Thanks for the support, it’s highly appreciated
The maximum file size for now is 200 Mo, so as long as it’s less than that you should be fine
I’m planning on including a map to visualize the data first before downloading it but it’s not yet available !
