KPI Cascading Issue

Hello Kobo team,

I am facing problems while creating the cascading option using the feature that is available in KPI. The form gets created but I am not able to deploy the form. I am using the latest docker instance from kobo-docker github.

To reproduce the issue follow below steps,

  1. Create a new form.
  2. Click on Cascading its opens a pop-up.
  3. Copy below content in cascading pop up. I have attached an Cascading Select Example Form.xlsx file from where i copied cascading dropdown data to popup.

  1. I was able to see cascaded dropdown and also was able to save the form.
  2. Deployed form shows below error “XML is invalid”.

Is the issue related to mismatch between kpi and formpack ( KPI option issue https://groups.google.com/forum/#!search/sitaram$20sawant/kobo-users/8Jjcg-o4iWA/Q9sAZGIlBQAJ ). Please let me know if you reqiured any other information to debug the issue.

Cascading Select Example Form.xlsx (7.77 KB)

i made the changes alex recommended in the other thred (i.e.rolled back formpack to a previous stable commit). This did not fix the problem :frowning:

any help would be great. This is on the critical path for our rollout.

thanx

Hello,

I took latest pull today tried to cretae a form which contain cascading dropdown.

Below are the steps that I followed

  1. Click on upload.

  2. uploaded below attached xlsx file.

Form was created successfully, but deploy functionality is throwing an error

ODK Validate Errors: [Fatal Error] tmpLbJOGz:67:14:

The content of elements must consist of well-formed

character data or markup. >> XML is invalid.

See above for the errors. Result: Invalid

I tried debugging but found hard to get exact problem.

Any help on this issue ?

Regards,

Sitaram
