Loading Error and slowly

Dear Team Support Team

I am a Non Humanitarian Server (HHI Server) user.

Previously I would like to share the story of trouble.

This month I used Kobo three times.

  1. Total submissions: 2437 respondents
  2. Total submissions: 515 respondents
  3. Total submissions: 110 respondents

Now then, during the fourth survey, we experienced a problem, namely many complaints from people who wanted to fill out our survey. They have failed to submit and have to start over again and finally, they are desperate not to fill. In the end, the response rate in this fourth survey was very low and did not meet expectations.

In this obstacle, we tried to find a solution in the Help Center and Community Forum. But not yet getting the right answer. Finally, we backed up the data from the three previous surveys and then deleted it because we thought it was full storage. Our survey did not collect media files (audio, video, photos) from respondents, only responses.

Is there no facility/feature in Kobo to see how far data storage is used per survey?
In fact, at the beginning of the register, which is offered is quite large, namely: 10,000 Submissions Per Month, 5GB of Data Storage Per Month and Unlimited Projects.

That’s our background, maybe there is a solution from the Kobo team without adding costs?

Attached some examples of errors in filling the survey in the field at this time.
Even though we have deleted the previous survey data.

Thank you

Mr. @Kal_Lam, can you help me?

Hi @handika_19,

Welcome to the community! Have you requested your enumerators to try collecting data with modern browsers viz. Chrome, Firefox etc. The Loading Error issue should not be seen with the browsers mentioned above.

Regarding your issue:

At the moment KoBoToolbox does not support this feature.

Have a great day!

Thank you for your answers.

Next comes the queue record for sending, what causes the queue to occur? Will the data be sent successfully or fail?

And for the 5GB of data storage provided by Kobo, how many submissions can it contain?
Our survey does not collect media files (audio, video, photos) from respondents, only responses.

Hi @handika_19,

Kindly please be informed that a lot of users after filling the form though that it would be sent and would close the browser (with the form) immediately. This would pile up all the information in the browser (unsent). Accidentally if the browser was cleared the information would get lost.

Thus keeping this in mind, the Record queued for submission is an information displayed to the enumerator that the filled-up form(s) has still not reached the server.

Thus, kindly please request your respondents not to close the browser unless and until they see the ... successfully submitted message in their browser screen. They should only close the browser once they see the message.

Have a great day!

Thank you for your answers Mr. @Kal_Lam.

Apologies for the delay. Can we edit and translate the queue submission message so that the respondent understands not to close the browser unless and until they see the message successfully sent on their browser screen.

Because many of our respondents do not speak English.
I think this can be a solution so that respondents fill up successfully.

Thank you.

Hi @handika_19,

Kindly please be informed that the information that is displayed under the control of the system is not editable. Hence, would advise to make a clear instruction (what to do and what not to do just before the Submit button) in the survey form so that your enumerators/respondents are able to understand the instructions very well (and they do not make the possible mistake that you/we assume).

Have a great day!

Thank you for your answers.

The next problem is that sometimes with the same internet speed, opening a questionnaire link feels very long. Impatient respondents tend to leave our survey.

When opened, a circle appears for several minutes as below.

Are there any solutions? Our questionnaire does not contain any images or media.

Thank you

Hi @handika_19,

How long does it take to open a normal website through the device? If it takes the same amount of time then it should be something related to your internet speed.

Have a great day!
