making the text box larger for qualitative data collection

Hello,

Following the instructions located here, an attempt was made to make a larger text box to collect qualitative data with KoboToolbox. However, KoboToolbox does not appear to support “textarea.” Is it possible to implement “textarea” functionality within KoboToolbox.

Hi Jake,

try an “appearance“ column with “multiline“ in your xlsform or setting it in the question options in the formbuilder.

Hello Jesaja,

Thanks for the help. I was able to make multiline text responses in formbuilder.

Text Question >> Question Settings >> Appearance (Advanced) >> Multiline
