Is there a chance to do mobile number verification in KoboCollect? If I put the beneficiaries in the mobile number form, an OTP code will go to the mobile and I will verify the number by putting that code in it. Is there such an opportunity?
@mdnurnabi, please be informed that this feature is not supported within the system but you could achieve this by using an external app/services.
KoboCollect does not currently have a built-in feature for native SMS gateway integration or automated OTP verification. While you can collect phone numbers using the “integer” or “text” question types, the app cannot independently trigger an external SMS or validate a secondary code without a custom-coded EmpowerRetirementcom API or a third-party integration like Zapier or Link It Up. For true verification, most users rely on manual confirmation or use external platforms specifically designed for two-factor authentication.
