Hello! I am having issues filtering a select multiple to a rank question where you can move the options around [not a series of drop downs].
What I want:
Q1. Participant selects from a list of choices.
Q2. Those choices (only) populate a simple rank form where they can move the options around in relationship to each other, per a simple XLSForm style.
What I do NOT want:
Q1. Participant selects form a list of choices.
Q2. Those choices are available for a sequence of drop downs, ala the 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice example that is often given in forum answers about rank questions.
I am able to get the full list of options for both the select multiple and the rank, and the respondent can move the full list of options around on the form to rank them relative to each other. But I don’t want all of the options to show up! Just the ones that they have selected.
However, when I implement a filter to only show selected ones in the ranking question, I CANNOT move them around. rank_test - Google Sheets
Any ideas why I can’t move the rank choices around in the second version??
Hello, just following up on this. Do you have any suggestions as to why the ability to move rank choices around does not work when I populate the options based on the choices from the previous ‘select multiple’ question?
This just happened to me. In my case it only worked when I deleted the “choice_filter” in the rank question that allows to show only the questions selected in the previous multiple choice question. However, if the filter is removed, then the rank question does not look good, with empty items that can neither be moved.
