How Do i get the same functionality in xls form

@kenmugy, it appears that this is coming from within the Account Settings tab. Could you kindly provide more details on why you need this configuration in the XLSForm settings? Please try to elaborate on the context and use case, so we can better understand your requirements and advise whether this can be achieved through the XLSForm.

Yes it does come from the Account Settings tab i was wondering if the same functionality could be achieved in xls where for a multiple select question its combine with a horizontal view and an autocomplete appearance

@kenmugy, sorry to inform you that the system does not expose such metadata variables in the XLSForm. However, you should be able to create the required variable directly within the XLSForm from the settings tab and use it independently.

I was just wondering if there was a way having a similar functionality (whether its via appearance.
where if say i had a field of Skills that was a multiple select , the selected options could appear like they do in the image i shared earlier.

@kenmugy, my bad! Apologies as I misunderstood your issue. The system though does not support your display option, you could get some closer approach. See screenshot below:
