Not able to download XLS form or clone, not able to redeploy

hello,

I have been working on kobo, editing a survey created earlier in the day. I am facing a few issues-

  1. I am not able to download XLS- when I click, nothing happens.
  2. I am not able to clone the project- again when I click nothing happens.
  3. I am not able to redeploy the saved project. I am getting the following error
  4. [row : 4] On the ‘choices’ sheet, the ‘name’ value is invalid. Choice names must be unique for each choice list. If this is intentional, use the setting ‘allow_choice_duplicates’. Learn more: XLSForm.org .
  5. but I am not able to download XLS, so unable to see what is this row 4.
  6. I have thoroughly checked the form several times to identify a duplicate, but there is none.
  7. Please help!

Welcome to the community, @rmearpan123! You should be able to download your form as XLSForm by following this community post discussed previously:

You could then validate your XLSForm through this online validator to identify syntax issues that are affecting the form deployment.

This post discussed previously should help you use the online validator.

Thanks Kal_Lam. But I have already tried all the steps given in different browsers. Nothing happens, there is no sign of activity, no download, nothing. Have no idea why. So, using online validator etc is the next step. First I need the XLS file, which is not happening.

My query is not “how to download”. I know how. My query is that it is not happening despite going through the steps.

Kindly help, if there is a way to get this done.
