Hi, i have urgent issue, can you help me please, my deadline is tomorrow i need to do some editing, here below my post link
@fayez_70, could you also let us know the mode of data collection you used? For example, did you collect the data through the Collect Android App or via the Enketo web form?
@fayez_70, I quickly downloaded your survey in XLSForm format, uploaded it to my account, made a dummy submission, and then attempted to edit it. I did not encounter any issues editing the submission.
@fayez_70, even when checking one of your random submissions, I had no issues loading it for editing. Please see the image below:
You may want to try using a modern browser (such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, etc.) to check how it behaves. I tested this on Chrome and did not encounter any issues.
I have been collecting data using the KoboCollect app for about a year, and we have never faced this issue until recently. My default browser is Chrome, but I also tested with Edge and experienced the same problem. I can share my screen if that would help in checking whether this can be resolved.
Yesterday morning I reported this issue, but by the evening I was able to edit using the same PC and the same browser. However, the problem reappeared this morning. This suggests it is not a browser-related issue. Would you agree?
@fayez_70, could you please confirm if this issue is still occurring on your end? I hope it’s not, but kindly let me know if it persists.
I just connected to the internet using my phone’s hotspot, and it worked
when I connected through my mobile hotspot, Kobo worked fine, but it failed on my office router. The problem turned out to be DNS resolution — my office network’s DNS couldn’t resolve ee.kobotoolbox.org, which caused the NXDOMAIN error.
Solution:
I changed my PC’s DNS settings to use Google’s public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) instead of my ISP/router DNS. After that, Kobo loaded normally and I was able to edit records again.
This confirms it wasn’t a browser issue, but a DNS/network issue. If anyone else faces the same problem, switching to Google DNS (or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1) is a quick fix.
@fayez_70, thank you for sharing your solution with the entire community! ![]()
