Option type in Other specify should display in next question

Hello senior colleagues,

I have 4 questions including Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 respectively. Also, I applied choice filter feature for all the questions. That is, what option selected in Q1 will appear in Q2; option picks in Q2 will show Q3; option select in Q3 will display in Q4.

So, If other specify is selected in any previous questions, I want it to show in the next question. Could you please help me to solve this?

Many thanks for sharing this. I appreciate it greatly. However, I noticed it is still not working. As I typed Nokia in the other specify for Q1, I want the response to display in the next question.

A choice_filter will only filter the options defined in the original choice list, and display their associated original labels. So you cannot simply replace the “Other specify” in the second filtered select with “Nokia” using straight choice_filters.

(in fact, Q1b is ostensibly a completely unrelated question that just happens to be made relevant and displayed when you pick a specific option: 10)

(in saying this, there is a trick where you can accomplish this, but it only reliably works in KoboCollect. So if you intend to deploy your form using Enketo web interface its not going to help)
