Once we subscribe to the 5 GB storage plan, when does the subscription period begin and end? Does it become active immediately upon payment and remain valid for one full month from the payment date, or does it expire at the end of the calendar month (for example, on July 31), regardless of the purchase date?

We offer plans for users that just need additional storage without additional submissions.
You can upgrade to these plans by going to “Account Settings” and then “Add-ons” and then scrolling down and then clicking “BUY NOW” next to the option that best fits your needs. Right after you pay, you will see the add on active.
Regarding your question, each payment is valid for one month from the purchase date. For more details, please take a look at the documentation articles linked below.
