Our query revolves around data validation scripting, specifically whether questions can be coded to stop the user from progressing through the survey if certain validation criteria are not fulfilled. This is because some of the questions build on one another and will require data validation in previous responses to ensure accuracy of data collection. To help clarify I include an example below;
For example if we are to ask a respondent:
- How many children are enrolled on your school Response x
Is it possible to make sure the next questions (below) equate to this
- How many girls are enrolled in your school Response y
- How many boys are enrolled in your school Response z
If the response for question 2 and 3 do not equate to question 1 (i.e. y+z = x), then the user cannot proceed.
