I designed a form but made mistake and didn’t differentiate the select one options with unique IDs. As a result, the responses only show one option for all the questions at the backend and when I download the responses into Excel.
Please, is there a way I could get the responses on the form based on what the respondents selected and not based on the choices IDs?
The challenge I am having is that the data exported is showing only one response for all the questions which I think is because the choice IDs which were not differentiated in the form designed.
The since the survey is now closed, I wish I could get the data with labels based on the options the respondents selected across the different questions not based on the choice IDs of the questions which in this case were the same.
Hi @Kal_Lam
Thank you so much for your attention and support so far.
Let me explain the issue to my best knowledge: We were having a test for our beneficiaries; we divided them into groups and gave them different survey forms.
I designed the first assessment form and duplicated it for the other assessment forms since they were having structure but different questions.
The screenshot of the Xlsx form is shown below: The options in the survey sheet were unique.
However, in the choices sheet shown below, the options were not unique, so I think the algorithm read the options as one for each question since they were not given unique names.
I followed the same procedure in uploading Xlsx form and deployed it.
I didn’t get any error message while doing that. It was after the data collection that I noticed the issue with the duplicate choices.
But when I replace the xlsform and redeploy, the questions options come out blank. When I check individual responses, it doesn’t show that the options were selected. see the screenshot below:
