Save selection and Synchronous exports in shared form is not working

Hi, One of my partner shared their Kobo form (EU server) with me before data collection process and i want to create a dashboard from this data but my main problem is save selection option is not working in the shared forms, i have done this thousand times in the form i created, it is not working in the shared forms.

I want to use synchronous saved export because of two reason.

1- the naming of the excel file when i use the not personalized export link because the naming of the file is changing daily and it might be headache in the Power BI. Changing the name of the excel file is an issue in Power BI.

2- I don’t need all the questions, i want to keep some personal information in the Kobo and doesn’t want to have them in the Power BI servers. So it personalized save as is the best option.

I choose all the columns i need, i check the Save selection as button and give a name to it as i usually do, then Kobo creates an export, i download it just to make sure there is no problem. Then i go to KoboToolbox Form Building API and my selection is not there. It is not registered. Is there any problem with it? or this is intended? To be able to that do we need Manage project permission?

@osmanburcu, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Could you also ensure that it’s working on an admin account or if its an issue only on a shared project?

Hi, @Kal_Lam I tested with the admin account, it is working there and the saved ones are also appeared in my accounts Apply saved export settings, but my Save selection as is know managed by the admin account.

@osmanburcu, so is there still any issue or has it been resolved? Kindly please let us know and we could troubleshoot this to fix it if the issue is still on.

Hi @Kal_Lam, this issue still on going, If i am not admin i can’t save my export settings and it is a huge problem if i don’t have any access to admin account. So it would be great, if other people who access to form can save their exports settings
