Hello,
I am conducting research in a rural area with sometimes patchy data conectivity. However the two data collectors make sure to connect to a hotspot at the end of every day to upload the surveys. The surveys are anonymous but the data collectors keep a list of the surnames of each household that they survey. That is how I know that over 50 surveys never successfully uploaded. Some of them were saved as drafts. Where do these drafts go?
(The surveys were conducted using a browser instead of the app, and it is a Online-Offline (multiple submission) form.
Welcome to the community, @teresarasa! Generally, the data collected and stored on your device should remain intact unless you manually delete it from the device or server. When your device is connected to the internet and the browser is open with the survey form, completed submissions are automatically sent to the server. Only draft submissions or incomplete entries may remain on the browser. Therefore, I encourage you to check your server (project data) to verify that your data has successfully reached the server. You can confirm this by downloading your data in XLS format.
However, there is one scenario where data from your browser could potentially be lost: if you clear your browser’s cache. Please note that once the cache is cleared, it is impossible to recover any unsaved data. We strongly advise users to exercise caution when clearing their browser cache during an ongoing survey.
