Problem displaying records on the map

I can only view up to 1000 records on the map; it does not display more than that, regardless of the number of points configured. Additionally, the map returns a 403 error, indicating that access is blocked.

As noted above, the earlier bug has been fixed, and at present there are no known issues around displaying submission on the map. Could you perhaps provide a bit more info - eg screen shots of your data table (showing any geopoint data) and its associated map view - so that we might get a better idea of your issue.

Welcome to the community, @aalvareza! Can you confirm if your project has at least one geopoint question? BTW, which server are you using? This was an issue previously but it has now been resolved in our public servers.

I’ve also confirmed this (on Global). There appears to be a regression, as a form with only start-geopoint is now not getting picked up as being georeferenced, and as a result none of the submissions will show up on the map. I’m investigating and will report back when I know more.

In the mean time, a potential workaround is to copy your start-geopoint to an explicit read_only geopoint question. This new geopoint question will successfully get picked up by the map, to then display your submission in the same location. And because it is read_only, the user cannot change the automatically acquired location (in Kobo Web Forms/Enketo). eg

(confirmed this works in both Enketo and KoboCollect)

I experienced something similar recently where the map stopped displaying correctly even though the geopoint field was still present in the form. In my case, rechecking the field configuration and map settings helped identify the issue.

It would be useful to know whether this started after a recent update or if any changes were made to the project before the problem appeared.
