Unexpected Additional Fields in Nested Repeat Groups (Disappears After Refresh)

I am experiencing an issue with my XLSForm that contains multiple nested repeat groups (state → school → class). When I fill out the form, additional empty fields unexpectedly appear in the second repeat group (as shown in the attached screenshot). These extra fields disappear after I refresh the page, but they create confusion during data entry.

Highlights Point :

  1. The form has three nested repeat levels: State, School, and Class.
  2. When I enter data for multiple schools, additional blank Class and Students fields are displayed in the second school repeat (highlighted in the screenshot).
  3. This behavior is inconsistent and disappears after a refresh.

Question:
Is this a known bug with nested repeats in KoboToolbox?
Is there a recommended workaround or a best practice to avoid this issue?
