Hi all,
We have a server on KoboCollect to which users submit photos and videos. Typically, these photos and videos only arrive on the server, meaning users cannot access them after submitting them (which is what we want). However, for a new form we recently set up, specifically the videos (not the photos) now appear on the users’ personal phone gallery. We’ve tried editing a specific user’s settings in the app, ticking the box ‘Delete after sending’ under ‘Form management’ but the video still appears in the personal gallery.
Has anyone faced this problem and is knowledgeable of any solutions? Any recommendations welcome!
Can you confirm which version(s) of KoboCollect you are seeing this behavior?
Can you also perhaps provide a version of a form where this was working (ie no videos in device gallery) vs one where it now isnt?

Can you export the XLSForm of each form definition and post here (assuming it contains no PII). Use this off the ‘…’ menu:
Hi, it says new users cannot upload files so I have put both XLS forms into the attached google drive folder: XLS forms for Kobo support - Google Drive. The document titled ‘auoQtPgF57tPJc9AWYyECy’ is the one where videos are appearing on users’ personal phone galleries. I can’t see any immediate differences between them, so not sure how helpful but maybe you can see something I can’t. Please let me know if you have any difficulties accessing them.
