Visualizing and tracking your Kobo submissions using OpenFn

You use KoboToolbox to collect data… but then what? Analyzing, visualizing and tracking follow-ups can get messy fast.

What if every new submission could automatically update a Google Sheet for easy analysis and create follow-up tasks in Asana—without lifting a finger?

That is what I built using OpenFn :rocket:

:white_check_mark: Every KoboToolbox submission triggers an OpenFn workflow.
:white_check_mark: The workflow formats the data and sends it straight to Google Sheets for analysis and visualization.
:white_check_mark: If there’s a follow-up task, it’s instantly added to an Asana board for tracking.

Hi Julie,
I am not sure I get your question but if you are asking if each submission automatically triggers and update in Google Sheets then yes!

And you are not limited to Google Sheets, we have 80+ adaptors
These adaptors give you a wide range of capabilities. here are some examples:

  • Send your submissions to a SQL database that you can then use PowerBi/Tableau to visualize.
  • Create reports in Microsoft Sharepoint that team members can collaborate on.
  • Send data to DHIS2 for analysis and visulaization.

please reach out to me via pius@openfn.org if you need a more in-depth explanation.

Pius.
