@humam, @dimesh this feature is yet not supported within our system. However, the current workaround for this is through the python script shared previously:

@sareep, a while back have created a method for converting XLS data into XML with a Python script so that they can be submitted via the API. This requires an existing deployed form to be in your account. Everything is documented in this repository: https://github.com/kobotoolbox/xls-import. I hope this works for you.

@humam, @dimesh we also have a features request for this in our suggestion box. Maybe you could VOTE for the same to make it a reality (in the near future):

Uploading new data or appending previous data to kobo server

Surveyed data are stored in the Kobo server. Sometimes I feel, and once was a crying need that, if it were possible to append few previously collected data to the newly collected data form, then I could analyse the changes of the result by Kobo automatic report. I think this service will make happy to many.
