I went through the topics related to my problem, but I didn’t find any solution and so I decided to create a new one.
I have a form which seems to be taking up storage space. I have deleted all submissions and all links to xls, zip etc related to the form. But nothing has changed - it still takes 316 MB, as in the picture below:
Welcome to the community, @WooCash! You can always check your storage under Account Settings>Usage>Per Project Total to see which project is consuming the most storage in your account. You can then download the data and media zip from that project and delete that project from the server to free up space in case you do not wish to upgrade your account to a paid plan.
However, the easy option would be to upgrade your account to a paid plan or just purchase the storage add-ons from under Account Settings>Plans. Feel free to reach us through support@kobotoolbox.org for any support needed to upgrade your account. We would be happy to help you out there.

Yes, I know which project is consuming the most storage, but as far as I remember it wasn’t always like that?
Shouldn’t it work that I delete the media files and it causes that the storage is cleaned up for the particular project? Because so far it looks like only deleting the media files is pointless if my goal is to free up some space…
@WooCash, kindly please be informed that as of now, it’s not possible from the system to delete only the media attachments (files) without deleting the entire submissions that hold the media files. So if you wish to delete the media files, you will also need to delete your entire submission.

Hopefully, we will be able to make this feature live soon. But until then, you will need to delete your entire submission.
