Dynamic Data and ID bank -drop down menu

Hello,

I’m looking to use the parent-child dynamic data option to Keep IDs in line among family participants. I first create IDs in the parent survey. I would then like to link the IDs generated from that parent survey to the child where the enumerators can choose from a drop-down menu of all the IDs that were created.

So:
Parent: IDs generated
Child: Enumerators reach the ID question and find a dropdown menu with a list of all the ID generated by the linked parent. They select the one they need

I have read similar but slightly different community discussion and guidance material but am not sure if my desired method is possible.

Dynamic data attachment based on a note

Hi, I have used the Dynamic Data Attachment to connect two projects, however, it is not working as expected. Attached are the files I am using - I am unsure if the problem is that I am trying to pull a ‘note’ into the child project. In the parent project I used the concat function to create an ID number and then a note to display the ID number as described in Creating Unique Serial Numbers. Welcome back to the community, @rkopper_wv! Please be informed that populating text or integer values from the parent form to the child form as dropdown choices is not possible within the system.
