Generic Exception: error 500 when sending Ready to Send data

Hello, Am facing the challenge of sending the finalized data collected to KOBO Collect server. I have successfully sent few data forms to server but some 8 other forms are failing to send.

I’m experiencing the same Generic Exception: Error 500 when attempting to send “Ready to Send” submissions from KoboCollect. This issue is very disruptive during field surveys since data just won’t upload despite working fine for some forms.

I found a related internal post discussing a similar error caused by large GPX file attachments (~10 MB+). It sounds like attachments over a certain size may consistently fail, even across multiple devices and submissions:

One of the projects has not been able to send the finalized forms for the last few weeks and gives a ‘Generic Exception (500)’ error message. In that thread, users confirmed that resizing or removing the large attachments allowed submission to succeed. Even though the issue persists for users without such media in other cases, it’s worth checking the size and format of any attached files in your form.

Has anyone identified consistent fixes such as limiting file size, switching to Enketo, or adjusting submission settings? It would be great to hear what worked reliably.
