Importing an XML form to Kobo

Hi guys, I’m new to Kobo and would appreciate some guidance.

I have created an xml form that I’ve tried to import to Kobo but am getting a 500: INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

Can someone assist please?

regards

Brad

Hi Brad,
There are a number of ways to load different types of XML into the system so if you could be more specific about what you are trying to do we can help you out.

Could you attach the XML that is causing problems and the URL where you tried to upload it?

Feel free to email me directly if you do not want to share it with the public group.

Hi Brad

Did you create an XML form or an XLS form. AS it is I have never been able to upload an XML form successfully. You need to create an XLS form.

Brad, this XML file is not an XForm. It looks like a spreadsheet saved as XML which is not a format we support for inputs. If you save the original spreadsheet as an XLS or XLSX file, you should have better results.

I’m filing a new bug so that you won’t receive a cryptic 500 error when an invalid file is uploaded.
