The missing data primarily occurs in sections where I used matrix questions. In the overview table on the server, I can see the data, but when I download it to Excel, the column values appear empty or the column itself is missing. I’ve confirmed that I’m downloading all versions, but this hasn’t resolved the issue.
I checked my formular here ODK - XLSForm Online and all my groups where missing a label but I do not think this is the issue, is it?
Welcome to the community, @Biogelingirl2025! When downloading matrix data you will also get labels that the matrix question uses. Hence you may think that those label columns do not have data in them but that’s just a label and not a variable that holds the data from a matrix question.
I would request you to make a simple matrix question (with very minimal questions) and make some dummy submissions. Then download your matrix data and check where the data is stored?
I tried, but it didn’t help. The solution I found was to label everything that was missing in the XLS format and upload it again. Now I have all the data. My questionnaire looks a bit different, but at least it is more functional this way. I would still prefer to find a way to download everything, but for now, this works as a solution.
@Biogelingirl2025, could you create a dummy matrix project and share with me the following through a private message? Maybe I could have a closer look at your case.
