Unable to Deploy (Redeploy) -- check connection

Hi KoboToolbox Community,
I have this issue. I have deployed this form, however, after several revisions. somehow I’m not able to redeploy this anymore. It says Unable to Deploy with no further note on what’s happening. Please check the image below.

Additional info:

  • I run it on EU Server with Professional plan
  • Have tried the ODK validate form, no particular new error since it was successfully deployed at the previous deployments.

Welcome back to the community, @midoen! Kindly please be informed that this is because your form is large. I can see that you have approximately 700 rows under the survey tab (which is a large survey). More importantly, I also see that you have an equally large list of choices, especially for these list_name (desa with 25985 options; kec with 2200 options; and kab with 128 options). When you have these large choices, the system will time out your request.

So the options for you to overcome this issue are as follows:

  • Break your survey into smaller chunks so that the system can support the load from your form.
  • You could use external CSV files to handle large choices as outlined in this community post.
