When I create a form and set English as the main language, then later add new questions to the form, the system creates a “ghost translation” that has no name or information. This unnamed translation breaks the form and prevents it from working.
What Happens:
I create a form and set English as the default language
I save the form
I go back later and add a new question (like a multiple-choice question)
I save the form again
The system creates a translation record with no name (unnamed translation)
This unnamed translation breaks the form and shows an error message
The Error Message Says:
“There is an unnamed translation in your form definition. Please give a name to all translations in your form.”
The Problem:
When I go to fix it by naming the translation, the unnamed translation keeps coming back every time I edit the form. It’s like a repeating bug.
Welcome to the community, @adrasudan! Can you replicate this issue with another dummy project? If yes, could you kindly share a video recording of the same? That would be helpful for us to investigate this issue and fix it up. BTW, could you also let us know the server you are using?

when i deleted the unnamed translation it removed the default language which was english for me. all the questions disappeared only the survey structure remained. the other language i had there is spanish and that one stayed. hoping for some answer here and hoping it is a kobo glitch than can be resolved. my survey is live right now
@misson1996, as a quick workaround you can download your form in XLSForm and then update the translation and redeploy it or if you have already deployed your project you could clone the earlier form version and then redeploy the latest update that has all the questions.
