When we download media data in Zip file during unzipping it shows error, when it will get resolved, as we currently need to download data and delete data from account as it’s already above 1 GB,
@Ali34, could you kindly share with us a screenshot of your issue so that we could understand it pictorially?
Hi @Kal_Lam, just download media zip file of one project and when i extract those media file, getting the below error but these media file (audio recording and Pictures) are available on server,
Is there any other way to download media? We can’t download one by one as there are more than 1000 media,? Can we download media in any other format as Zip format is not working.
Hi
We have the same problem .@Kal_Lam
@Ali34, could you provide me the following through a private message? Maybe I could have a closer look at your case.
- Username
- Project name
- Server
You should be able to send me a private message as outlined in the post discussed previously:
Hi @Kal_Lam,
This is also a problem happening across co2balance portfolio of accounts and multiple surveys. Since last week, when the zipped file of the media attachments is downloaded for a particular survey, the following error message pops up:
Could you please look into this and let us know a fix?
Thanks
Thank you for brining this to our attention @co2balance! We are investigating this issue and will get back to you once we resolve it out.
@Ali34, @iyd, @co2balance I checked this out at my end. Yes, even after successfully downloading the media attachments, you are not able to get the media files safely in the Zip folder. I even got the error message you got.
This is happening as your media file is too large. We are currently working on a new feature that would be able to download the media files in batches so that the system can handle the server time-out limit.
As a workaround, try downloading your media files as outlined in this support article Downloading Photos and Other Media.
I tried in one of your projects @iyd and can confirm that it works perfectly fine.
But please use the Firefox browser for this.
I came accross this same the solved problem two weeks ago but for some reason it didn’t work at first.
Here are steps I used for it to work
- I had to download the DownthemAll plugin for Chrome
- I copied all my media links in a .txt file
- I loaded that .txt file into the DownthemAll and proceeded
I got all my media that were exceeding 1Gb
Thanks @Kal_Lam
