Problem with deploying form: line 2 column 1

Hi, I tried adding some calculations to my original kobo form, which was deploy-able. However, I ran into the error message “line 2 column 1 (char)” with my edited form and can’t deploy it. I used the https://getodk.org/xlsform/ to check my form, but somehow the same error messages are showing up for both my original form (which I was able to deploy) and my edited form. The errors are also located in rows that were left unchanged?

does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Hi @jricher, Would you mind checking the total number of begin_group and end_group used in your xlsform. I see the issue there as it does not match. You have a total of 75 begin_group while at the same time you have 77 end_group used. Generally, the total number of begin_group and end_group should match each other. Try fixing this issue and your problem should be solved. Have a great day!

Hello, It’s probably a reference or syntax error. Could you, please, check your XLSForm through this site (If you work with the form builder, download your survey project as XLSForm and then submit this XLSForm to this site…)

Hi there I did go to the site and uploaded the xls form, the following is what is says: Repeat behavior has changed. Previously, some clients like ODK Collect prompted users to add the first repeat. Now, the user will only be prompted to add repeats after the first one. Representing 0 repetitions will require changing the form design. Read more at http://xlsform.org#representing-zero-repeats.
